In the United States, younger people tended to believe that they were at much, much higher risk than they actually have ever been. That's a twofold difference in risk perception. Too many older people felt safe by wearing a mask, even though the mask did not protect them at all. And I don't like the wearing of masks, period, because of the social effect.
