Gilda's account makes no mention of arthur. It does refer to mount baden, but it doesn't discuss who commanded troops at that battle. archaeological finds and investigations could be seen to bear out some ams in the arthur legends. But these are only significant if you first give some credence to those later arthur legends that connect him to cite such as tintagel or avalon or camelot. You first have to show there was an arthur to be connected to the site.
