Fed Balance Sheet
Right now the fed's balance sheet is close to nine trillion dollars. It was at 700 billion when i left the treasury in two thousand and six. I don't believe that, looking at it purely as a financial matter, that that has that many consequences. What i do worry about is that a balance sheet of that size, certainly relative to g p, becomes anattractive nuisance.
