The Desirability of Different Immigrants in Canada
There was absolutely a class factor in terms of which Brits were considered hearty and like strong enough to do homesteading. It became necessary to encourage hardworking Canadians to mix with other desirable hearty races. So the Swedes and the Dutch like Nordic Europeans were considered very beneficial to the Canadian race because of their capacity to work hard in cold conditions. And so some poodles are nice and some are mean. Exactly. Because this isn't actually how anything works.
