The Importance of Evaluation in Development Economics
Luca: A lot of the way in which grantees were evaluated was essentially through this like embedded network. And that strikes me as really different from, I remember like in my early beginnings, I was more into development economics. So why is it that some foundations or some giving gets this kind of community capture, but Olin at least was able to still make good decisions? Luca: Why does that lead to good decisions as opposed to being completely skewed by human biases?
