The Importance of Information Brokers in Spreading Reliable Information
When we think about empathy, it's often an emotional kind of process. The kinds of processes that we're most interested in are like thinking about what you're thinking or what you know and don't know. These information brokers can play a really important role in spreading reliable information. And so our prediction would be that if we scan your brain, when you were thinking about, for example, what to recommend to your listeners, that you might show more activity in these brain systems that help you understand what different people are thinking.
