I like to think of the UK as a hotbed of eccentricity, but maybe it isn't. I don't think he has any awareness of how funny he is by accident. The fact that he talks incessantly about humour without cracking a smile. He's putting the cart before the heart when it comes to serious issues. It diminishes his eccentricity if you're kind of flag-waving.
