Amy Bishop's Right to an Appeal

Amy Bishop was charged with one count of capital murder and three counts of attempted murder. The prosecutor in Alabama wanted to go for the death penalty, but some of the surviving victims and families of those murdered requested that it be taken off the table. On September 24, 2012, Amy Bishop was sentenced to life in prison without parole.
