The idea of reacts over components is like a really good pattern. The data is fetched and thit a sent to the client using that rea servi component syntax. And then your client bundle that loads in the browser only contains job scrip code used in client components. It doesn't include any of that servicide logic, so it means a lot smaller client bundles. M this, of course, went hand in hand with react 18, streaming, s s r and suspense data fetching. So it was a whole bunch of new experimental tack coming together.
In this supper club episode of Syntax, Wes and Scott talk with Josh Larson from Shopify about headless ecommerce, including Hydrogen from Shopify, how integrations work with Shopify, and what the tech stack is behind Hydrogen.
