Global Employment, Part II
In an earlier era, or as the kind of full employment vision of the wartime and early post-war period generalized, there was the sense that everyone really in the world was going to eventually be put into the world. And it eventually become part of this standard workforce. But now 74% of the world does not have permanent employment. It's informal, temporary, and so on, precarious, irregular. You have a kind of bifurcation in labor markets in rich countries. So maybe if you could talk us through that before we move on to the politics.
