The Origins of Fire

Zeus decides that the people can keep fire, but they must use it to burn the fruits of their labor in a sacrifice. Since many humans are now starving and struggling to just stay alive, Prometheus supplicates to Zeus on their behalf. So Prometheus sneaks to the forge of Hephaestus, and uses a fennelstock to carry the spark of fire back to mankind. As a result, mankind's great benefactors removed, and they are now alienated from the gods. Mankind's punishment for Prometheus giving them fire again was the creation of the first woman, named Pandora.
