How Does Chemical Weathering Take Carbon Out of the Atmosphere?

Chemical weathering is the process by which rocks that we all see at the surface of the Earth change into soil. How fast or slow it goes in many ways mediated by how much water there is and then what the temperature is. In many ways, it sucks SiO2 out of the atmosphere just by dissolution of these rocks. We're thinking about big rocks breaking down into smaller and smaller pieces.
