Every business is different, and there are a number of factors that go into valuation. The minimum threshold on an EBITDA perspective is about 20%. Buyers still value firms above 35% margin in consulting services type businesses. If your firm is throwing off 55% margin, the reason why you're probably not very mature or well-performing.
