Capello has earned the right to do what he's doing, of course. But it's ironic that South gets become one of the most loved people by doing some of the most hated things. I want to unpick that whole golden boy thing because to me, that's so interesting. Being an England manager is a seductive position and you want to be liked. You know, you can be the most hated person in the country. It's a weird job to take - but Capello wanted it. Eric's and wanted it. Cervango was maybe more victim of this than others.
