The Importance of Sentiment in the Choice of a Vaccine
The work on a vaccine was underway at Scotland's Mora Dun Institute until funding apparently dried up in about 2010. Dr Colin McGinnis, who led the original research programme, said that basically there was still a lot of work to be done. He says we need to ask ourselves how much of this expenditure is based purely on sentiment. And if it is sentiment alone that we're considering more than broader questions about the importance of biodiversity then perhaps we should look elsewhere.
