Was it important to build the record around something you'd originated, like that title track? Not sarily. I didn't choose it cause it was my song. But i came from interpreting other people's songs. So for me to interpret jessie and lee's songs and the covers felt very natural to me at the time. Now, i love writing songs, and i i have a harder time interpreting other people’s songs.I still can do it, but i have to really be faeling it more than maybe when i was younger.
