Artificial Intelligence - Is the Machine Uncertain?
You say we have to steer AI in a radically new direction, abandon the assumption the machine should have one definite fixed objective. You propose three big rules that remind me of Isaac Asimov's three laws of robotics from complete coincidence 80 years ago. The second principle is that the machine knows that it doesn't know what your preferences are. If you allow for uncertainty about the objective, you get all kinds of new behaviors that you just couldn't exhibit before.
