The Importance of Virtue Ethics
In Aristotle, virtue doesn't quite hit the mark in terms of the notion of excellence and inherent excellence that's coming across. The Aristotelians were a little bit too aristocratic because things like health and wealth are not entirely under your control. What makes your life worth living is what makes you an excellent human being. Everything else becomes indifferent to your moral character.
