Rena reported to the police that her father had sexually abused her while still in the care of her grandparents, then attempted suicide. The charges against her father were stayed by the crown due to a lack of evidence supporting rena's descriptions of abuse. She was finally given what she thought she wanted. She was placed in a foster home. Not surprisingly, living at the foster home was not the free and fund situation she thought it would be.
