The Importance of Hope in Music
I want people who hear my music to feel a certain way. I don't want them to come away thinking that, oh, there are so many problems in the world and we're powerless. And even before I was canceled, I definitely wanted a music to be positive. So it's not necessarily do I want them to think this song rocks or do I want it to be hard? What I want to create in a listener is a feeling.
