The Impact of Critical Raw Materials on the DRC Cobalt Market
Cobalt is very interesting because it's completely dominated by democratic republic of Congo. Right now around 70% of the cobalt for batteries comes from the DRC, perhaps 60%. So we can see that this decade, the DRC is going to be the Saudi Arabia of the Cobalt market. There's just no cobalt supply in scale and quantity without the DRC. The trade is dominated by a few companies with global reach.
