The Internal Cymmetry of Particles
In our model of physics, there is deep tangling of physical space and this kind of internal space. And it's a quite elaborate kind of a way in which the stuff that makes up physical space also makes up this kind ofinternal space. But roughly, what's happening is that particles, there's the sortof internal space, associate with particles. It's something that is an internal feature of the particle that is transforming in the kind of way that one would transform, for example, turning a sphere around. Ok, so that's a long story, but it turns out that those internal cymetries am are we we i in physics?
