The Turkmen Tribes in Asia Minor - And What Are They Doing?
The Mongols were just unable to control these Turkish tribes really no more than anyone else had ever been. Like the Seljuks hadn't been able to do. And so ultimately it's sort of the knock on effects of the Mongol Empire that proved to be pretty disastrous in Asia Minor. Yeah, this is like a perennial feature.
