Arorin could venture out into the rhine forests or the savannah grass lands and gather fruits and nuts, which it would have been able to eat. Chimpanzees supplement their diet with insects, which they will use wooden sticks and plant stems to entice them from their mounds. Once again, this is not impossible for our ancestors.
