Matt: I was wondering if we could move to a discussion of his treatment of patriotism. He contrasts Kipling and Chesterton in this context, and talks about the difference between the person who would impute Merris because he loves someone or something,. Matt: There's a modesty to the true patriotism that does not idolize its country. If our country's cause is that of God, wars must be wars of annihilation.
