Many religions have the idea of avatars too, physical forms that gods use when coming to earth to talk to us. In Hinduism or Buddhism, they're pretty common. So at a time like ours, where AIs are about to become sentient or self-aware, could a god inhabit a computer or manifest in the internet? Yeah, there's so much there. I honestly don't suppose it'll be too much longer before someone does.
