Poland pushed for concrete commitments from Britain primarily to use the Royal Air Force and bombing offensives against Germany. There was even a plan in place to bomb the industrial rural area but there was a concern in London that such attacks would simply antagonize the Germans. They eventually agree to launch a bombing campaign although again their actions in the early weeks of the war make it clear that such promises were not taken very seriously.
