Biofilms in the Future?

Bacteria could be used to fix CO2 by filling cracks and concrete, which is something I've heard Rachel Armstrong talk about as a potential solution to the decay of Venice. We know that some biofilms in different places can actually capture toxins. And we still need to convince people that this is something that has no travel, that because the fear is still there.

Different environmental variables call for different strategies in individual and collective cognition — what defines the threshold at which so-called “solid” brains transition into “liquids”?
