Iroquois, Is It a Native American Language?
Cherokee is an Iroquois language. It has a fairly complex pitch accent system. Between long and short vowels, there are eight different possibilities of low, short and rising and falling. There's plenty of phonological stuff to look at if you're interested in seeing what that looks like in natural language.
