There's also been a lot of disinformation spreading with conspiracy theories claiming that 15-minute cities are tools of oppression being wielded by governments. The big social media campaigns against 15-minute city tend to come from quite conservative backgrounds. This is a popular opportunity to reduce traffic, to reduce reliance on high carbon forms of transport, and to gain popular support for public space,. Public provision of services, community activity that isn't all about consumption.
