We are forced to read science with an equivalent kind of frame so we can actually get something done. And that is the veil behind which a tremendous amount of bullshit slips. It's amazing just how looking at this the other day writing something sort of paragraph 20 separate references and it's all laid out everything's all these very impressive sounding names. Even now you know a very long way down that's sort of like the skeptical slippery dip. You have to infer the rule right to realize if it's uniform randomness even in and of itself you do actually have to know what you're looking for.
