The Difference Between Italian Fascism and Nazism
Mussolini thought of fascism as a uniquely Italian phenomenon. He had no interest in exporting it to other countries. Fascism was very much like about individual nations. Ironically, Mussolini was a terrible war leader. So he joins the Second World War at the last possible moment so he could take some credit for the invasion of France. In Greece, Yugoslavia, North Africa, Italy is humiliated and needs saving by Germany. When the Allies invade Sicily in July 1943, but not many people willing to die for Mussolini. This is the ultimate form of Italian fascism. But it really can't achieve that. It's obviously a nightmare for the people living within its borders.
