The Cost of Attending a NATO Summit
The Prime Minister has a busy diary. He can't always guarantee that they can be there on a Wednesday afternoon. Do we want our PM to spend all the time rehearsing lines? Or do we actually want him to be sorting out the world at a NATO summit? The main function of it, apart from those nerds of us who like to watch it, is to provide a little bit of morality or troops. It's to send them back off to their constituencies at the end of the weekend feeling a little better than they might have done.
