The Importance of Experience in Philosophy

As an undergrad, I got convinced that at best that kind of idea is mysterious and lends itself to dogmatism. At worst, it's kind of meaningless or confused to talk about value being in the world. But I was never tempted by relativism or nihilism. It always seemed clear to me that things are valuable ... And there are objective standards and requirements about how we should treat each other.
