In 2022, we've analyzed 157 head injuries in tackles. And it is astonishing when there is a tackle that is red-carded, the risk of a head injury is 232 times higher than if there's a legal tackle. We're playing with one or two levers, but we can't control the other three. So you say, let's change a law to try and make the rack safer. Yeah, makes sense, logical. But then by making it safer, you make it less contestable,. which means players don't go there, they go to the tackle. You end up achieving the opposite - more injuries in the tackle than in the rack.
