The Importance of Purpose in Politics
I wanted to remind everyone in the room, whether they have been there for 20 years or just got elected, why we were all there? Because I think it's very easy to lose your sense of purpose and to lose your way in politics. But ultimately we do this job as much as people love to hate politicians, which is fair enough. Holding us to account is important. We're all here because we want to do the right thing.
