The Chronicles of Samuel and the Books of Kings

The books of samuel and the books of kings comprise the story israel's perspective, the nation of israel. And then we have the books of chronicles that are told from the perspective of the nation of judah. That period of history covers those kings, talking about each from those unique perspectives. After kingdom is split, the northerna, ten tribes, the kingdom of israel, that's what we see in samuel and kings. In that southern kingdom, the other two tribes, is where we get to the book of chronicles. There's all kinds of political insecurity.
