Gardening is a reminder of how god created this world and how we can be stewards of it. I think the movement towards growing food or sourcing it locally, was kind of out of wanting to eat healthier... But there's a lot of other factors applying to it now. The excuse of its too expensive has gone away because all the industrially produced food as risen in price so much in the past couple of years. People certainly need to start looking at alternatives.
