Is There a Cascade Effect to Remote Work?
I think as the world moved towards almost exclusive remote work, what has happened is that the ability for workers to actually establish those physical personal relationships have gone down. My fear is that as we do that, if employees who are exclusively working remote are not given the opportunities to meet with customers face to face, or meet with their colleagues face to face. That's a relationship building opportunity that gets missed. What ends up happening is that the employees feel more and more detached from the workplace. And especially in large global companies, personal relationships and the network that you have is really how work happens the best.
