The Fed Can Fight Inflation
Politicians praise the independence of the fed and ask it to tame inflation, almost as a way for not having to take any difficult steps of their own. The conventional wisdom after paul volgar was like, oh, see, the fed can do this. And over time, it got to the point where it's like, the fed alone should do this. No one's had to figure out anti inflation policy for many years and ye or so, they're just kind of think that that's the fad's job, not ours.
