There were quite a few headlines at the time describing how this weird little beast that had no anus was our earliest ancestor. Am, why was that anatomical detail particularly important, or caused confusionr? Or was it just the source of irreverent headlines? I think it was a bit of both. An on one handid is a bit funny, but also, most animals that you think of, they've rgotten anus. It's just kind of accepted. There's a few animals that don't so, like jelly fish and sponges and a few parasites that have just kind of become very, very basic. They haven't got anuses.
