Bob Greene: Too often the life of Christ becomes Christ the example. Jesus died, so we get forgiven and now be like Jesus to add to your account type of thing. Sometimes this is basically palingenism at the heart, which is a heresy that says, hey, God wouldn't have asked you to do it if you couldn't have done it. He sent Jesus to be a good example.
