Rebecca Vardy and Colleen Rooney's Libel Trial
Rebecca Vardy took Colleen Rooney to court for libel. She wanted £1 million in compensation, so that's something like €1.2 million. The case dragged into 2021 as private messages sent by Rebecca Vardy were read out. In these messages, which were sent before Rooney had publicly accused Vardy, Vardy referred to Rooney as a quote, nasty bitch. This term stuck Wagatha Christie, and the British press hung on every new accusation or denial in this feud.
