The Importance of Getting the Macro View First
There's also an argument to me made to always get the macro view first. If you're stuck on gesture, you don't want to move on to structure until you totally get structure because these things are all intertwined. And I think it's that way with learning anything. To spend 10 or 15 minutes just on that table of contents so that you can see whether this author has a train of thought that is really worth submitting to can give you the macro view before you go in there and spend all that time on the micro view. Even while you're wandering, don't camp out for too long. But you designed that figure drawing course so that it does lead from one to another to another
