The first aspect of journaling is ultimately self-awareness. Just taking a little bit of time, maybe five to ten minutes at the end of the day to just reflect on how that day went and maybe thinking about the factors that led to that. When you're stressed, when you're dealing with pressure, ultimately you want to write about how you're feeling. It allows you to get it out in front of you and then you can ultimately start thinking about it differently. A lot of people don't have clear goals. They just have general goals. If you're measuring yourself against general goals, you're never going to feel good because general ideals or whatnot are always moving.
