The Cost of Low Pay and High Turnover
Low pay and high turnover is not necessary to compete in low cost services. Even in low cost retail, there's a way to win with your customers through creating good jobs. In front line service settings, we have seen turnover levels from 40% to 300%, depending on the organization. The cost of turnover alone could be 10 to 25% of what you're paying your employees.
