The Cochrane Database Systematic Review is evaluating hypothermia for neuroprotection in adults after cardiac arrest. There was no difference between therapeutic hypothermia and temperature management at 36 degrees Celsius. The incidences of pneumonia, hypokalemia, and severe arrhythmias were increased in those receiving therapeutic Hypothermia.
