Abolition, Solidarity, and Historical Narratives

This chapter examines W.E.B. Du Bois's influence on the narratives surrounding the Black freedom struggle, particularly through his work 'Black Reconstruction'. It emphasizes the active roles Black individuals have played in their fight for liberation and the necessity of connecting the abolitionist movement to broader struggles for socialism and decolonization. Additionally, it highlights the importance of educational spaces in promoting critical analyses of history and fostering solidarity among marginalized communities, including parallels drawn with contemporary issues faced by Palestinians.
