i never imagined myself leaving newspapers. I loved the chronicle. At the same time, you know, the paper is going through a mass of transition and massive cutbacks. So it just seemed like an opportunity that was too good to pass up. i've spent seven years there, and no one's ever told me to back off a story. No one's ever suggested we shouldn't cover something. And on the contrary, they've been incredibly supportive of us doing the kind of investigative work,. even of the enapel tata that matters most.
