The Brennans Rationalists and the Cultic Milieu

Aussie Aussie Brennan, well known within the rationalist community posts on less wrong. The post is titled rationalists and the cultic milieu in very big bold letters all caps at the very top. We're not talking about cults in the Pierce in community sort of way. It does not refer to ideologically abusive communities. All I can picture is Pierce from community and his like robe and stuff from the cult.
